Tasteless remarks

Of late it has become a ‘new normal’ in the nation, where political figures, under the cover of free speech, voice disgraceful comments, backtrack and tender an apology after the eruption of public outrage. It is time that there are strong measures put in place to act against such statements and persons. Irresponsible comments directed against our security forces who sacrifice much to ensure our safety and well being must be acted against.

People tend to glorify war without fully understanding what war hysteria conceals. Conflict escalation reflects a jingoistic mindset. India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ has delivered a strong message to the neighbour. A full-fledged war would only result in irreparable damage.
